Three villages in the Banat

Commemoration meeting on May 3rd, 2003

The last meeting of the community of our three villages took place as a commemoration for our beloved fellow countryman Dr. Josef Wüst who was the publisher of our very popular “Dorftrommler”.

Our dear Joschi to whom we all have to owe so much lost the battle against his cancer on February
19th, 2003 and left us for ever. This sad news shocked all of us very deeply. We lost with Joschi the most important connector of our community.

So Hans Loch and Konrad Löchel, both members of our council, organised immediately a commemoration meeting to which many members of the community arrived. Among them were Joschi’s widow Helga and her children and grandchildren from Vienna. As the location for that meeting they chose the Restaurant Uhlandhöhe in Reutlingen where 1989 our first meeting of the community took place. Many thanks to the two organisers for all they have done. The meeting was very successful and atmospheric because we all had a feeling like this was going to be the very last of our meetings.

Following there are a few pictures of this meeting. We all for ever will keep Joschi in a nice remembrance.
